Assurant is a leading global business services company that supports, protects, and connects major consumer purchases. They are seeking an experienced Multifamily Business Development Consultant to drive sales in the Southeast region by identifying customer needs, building client relationships, and managing a sales pipeline for Renters Insurance products.
Responsibilities:
- Expand sales in existing and new accounts by identifying customer needs, participating in developing client plans, and introducing new products and services
- Influence prospects to buy products by mastering the selling process and identifying and pursuing market and niche opportunities
- Enhances relationship with client by providing support, information, and guidance
- Research and recommend new opportunities and profit/service improvements while assisting leaders in outlining these opportunities or enhancements
- Serves as a subject matter expert to others in resolving complex problems and issues
- Use in-depth knowledge of business arrangements, both financial and contractual
- Understand financial trends and fluctuations with assigned clients and communicate issues and resolutions to clients and channel personnel
- Acts as a consultant with other channels and utilities at Assurant
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise sales and account development in the Multifamily and Single-Family industry
- Proven track record of strategic planning, negotiation expertise, building and managing a sales pipeline via SalesForce
- Successful track record of sales quota performance
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of company products, services, and solutions
- Experience working with larger Property Management Companies of 8,000+ units within the Multifamily Housing industry
