The Sr. HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to business units, primarily supporting Operations, and provides guidance on HR policies, employee relations, workforce planning, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, laws, and best practices
- Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with HR policies and governmental laws and regulations
- Ensures compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations
- Handles employee relations counseling, disciplinary actions, separations, and exit interviews
- Maintains employee-related databases; prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company; and prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
- Assists with the development of Human Resources policies; provides advice, assistance, and follow-up on policies, procedures, and documentation
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions
- Leads and participates in HR-related projects as needed
Requirements:
- Under the guidance of the HR Director, the Sr. HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to assigned business units, with a primary focus on supporting Operations
- This role carries out responsibilities across the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, organizational development, and employment
- The Sr. HRBP serves as a trusted advisor to operations leaders and front-line managers, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations matters, workforce planning, and compliance
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility, adaptability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- This role is highly collaborative and requires strong judgment, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- This position is based in Deer Park, TX or can be remote; candidates must reside within reasonable proximity of a major commercial airport to support travel requirements
