Principal Engineer, Application Development

Celanese is a global leader in chemistry, producing specialty material solutions used across most major industries and consumer applications. They are seeking a Principal Engineer in Application Development to implement segment strategies, develop new applications and projects, and build project pipelines in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Implement segment strategy and translate into sales by working with customers and other commercial and technical peers
• Accountable for development and acquisition of new application and projects in these markets in China
• Accountable for building of these markets’ project pipeline
• Accountable for the specification of our products at the OEM or the respective value chain

Requirements:

• At least 5 years in Rubber & plastic industry on consumer and industrial market in commercial or technical supporting function
• Technical / scientific education Bachelor and above
• Strong personality with authenticity who can add authority in discussions with customers etc
• Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve new problems, explore new applications and business opportunities
• Written & oral English should be workable
• Business understanding
• Deep knowledge of engineering resins related applications, markets and customers
• Strategic thinking and Excellent Communication skills along with proficiency in basic computer skills
