SCAN is a nonprofit health organization dedicated to improving care for older adults. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, leading cross-functional teams, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance health plan performance and market growth.
Responsibilities:
- Executes and oversees programs that meet the needs of the organization, maintaining a high-level view to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and accountable execution. Participates in all aspects of program delivery, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance. Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks engagement. Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications. Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics. Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations. Provides reports and updates to senior leadership or other stakeholders
- Serves as leader of authority with expert-level knowledge health plan market management and improving access to care within a HMO model. Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations. Plans, organizes, and guides projects and matrixed employees. May be called on to consult in other areas as needed
- Anticipates and mitigates risks across program initiatives, advising senior leadership on project dependencies, barriers, and potential solutions
- Takes ownership of special projects and strategic efforts, proactively identifying opportunities to drive value and performance improvements in provider performance, market success, and operational effectiveness
- Collaborates closely with internal teams to integrate strategy with operations, ensuring cross-functional alignment and operational readiness

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5-7 years of related experience as a Senior Program Manager in the health plan, healthcare, or related space
- 5 years of leadership experience with strong ability to develop and mentor others (prioritizes assignments, provides assistance, scheduled work, but will not directly supervise others). Skilled to develops others Business Insight and in-depth understanding of the business
- Strong project management skills. PMP preferred
- Optimizes Work Processes - Designs processes that allow managing from a distance
- Executive Communication – Translates enterprise vision into clear strategic priorities. Builds communication that is relevant to the audience. Strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly detail oriented with strong ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to build collaborative relationships
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Access), SQL, and Visio are required
