Disney is seeking a Senior Architect to serve as a key technical lead for designing and integrating production IT systems at ABC News. This role involves collaborating with management and the Principal Architect to establish standards and improve integrated solutions while engaging with various business areas.
Responsibilities:
- Design and diagram technical solutions (large and small) across infrastructure systems
- Partner with clients and technical teams to design and implement solutions
- Execute application authentication standards aligned with internal security and GIS requirements
- Contribute to solution design standards (on-prem and cloud)
- Document solutions and architectures as assigned
- Apply best practices and industry standards to improve products and services
- Develop and propose roadmap for core systems infrastructure and required technical capabilities
- Write capital project scopes, including technical requirements and business justifications
- Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects and initiatives (occasionally leading efforts)
- Evaluate and align technical direction with business needs and long-term architecture goals
- Research emerging technologies and assess feasibility within ABC News environment
- Recommend implementation approaches using industry best practices
- Present findings and recommendations to inform team decisions
- Solve complex technical problems by gathering cross-team input and feeding insights back to Architecture
- Support experimental or undeveloped media solutions, including embedded team assignments
- Participate in daily/weekly project tracking and contribute to team deliverables
- Work independently with minimal guidance while supporting broader team objectives
- Act as a resource/mentor to less experienced team members (internally and externally)
- Assist leads/principals with execution, updates, and cross-team coordination
