Founding Product Designer

Sapiom is building the financial payments infrastructure for the machine economy, enabling AI agents to transact safely with real-world services. The Founding Product Designer will own the end-to-end design process for Sapiom's core product, tackling complex UX challenges and defining the design language as the company evolves.

Responsibilities:

• Own the full design process across product surfaces — from FigJam workshops and Figma mockups to production-quality prototypes built with v0, Cursor, or Claude Code — delivering the right artifact at the right moment
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape strategic direction, not just execute on spec — bringing design thinking into roadmap conversations early
• Define and evolve Sapiom's design system with precision — knowing when convention serves users and when a new pattern is necessary
• Ship interfaces for genuinely hard problems: agentic spend authorization, policy enforcement UX, real-time transaction monitoring, and developer-facing configuration flows
• Advocate across the company for design quality and consistency — establishing shared standards and raising the bar for how Sapiom's product looks and feels
• Nurture a design culture as an early team member — giving and receiving feedback with candor, mentoring where needed, and building the environment you want to work in
