Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Boston, MA or Remote (Work Model: Boston-area candidates hybrid (2 days onsite); East Coast candidates fully remote)
Duration: 6 months with high possibility of converting into long term
Work Model :
- Hybrid 2 days a week if candidates from Boston area
- Remote 100% remote only East Coast resources strictly no west coast resources
Must have Markit EDM hands on implementation + SQL + Data engineering skills + python + snowflake
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platforms to design, build, and support scalable data systems. This role involves hands-on development, data integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable data pipelines for analytics and downstream systems.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, and EDM systems (such as Markit EDM) along with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience supporting and developing solutions within Markit EDM or other data management systems.
- Overall 9+ years of experience in data engineering, building and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL with expertise in data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with market data, reference data, or financial services data platforms.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and integration.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production data issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
