
Own the technical architecture of the Symphony data platform.
Design and govern the metadata-driven architecture that underpins the solution.
Lead architectural decisions for Phase 2, including refactoring, optimization, and performance tuning.
Define and enforce standards for data modeling, pipeline design, and code structure.
Guide the transition from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
Ensure pipelines are used strictly for scheduling no ETL logic embedded in pipelines.
Drive automation, reusable patterns, and defined development processes across the team.
Actively participate in discovery sessions to derive requirements directly from data.
Mentor and provide technical direction to data engineers.
Collaborate with core technical team on architectural alignment.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
Expert-level knowledge of Apache Spark and its core concepts.
Hands-on proficiency in Scala and/or Java (code-first approach mandatory).
Advanced SQL skills and deep data warehousing expertise.
Strong experience with Azure Synapse.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (preferred).
Experience designing and implementing metadata-driven data architectures.
Proficiency with GitHub for source control and code management.
