Tredence Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong technical leadership skills to design, implement, and optimize modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams in building scalable and high-performance data solutions using AWS services.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement end-to-end data architecture leveraging AWS services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and guide solution delivery across multiple projects
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines, orchestrate big data workloads, and manage distributed processing frameworks
- Implement Iceberg tables for large-scale analytics, ensuring schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning
- Architect and optimize relational databases for transactional and analytical workloads
- Establish standards for data quality, lineage, and security compliance
- Monitor and optimize resource usage to balance performance and cost
- Partner with product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or Technical Lead in cloud-native environments
- Strong expertise in AWS Glue, EMR, Aurora, and Apache Iceberg
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data engineering
- Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive technical discussions and decision-making
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Data Analytics certification
- Experience with Lakehouse architectures and data mesh principles
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud data platforms
