Senior Project Manager (Software Migration & Field Operations) | Remote

Umbrex is seeking a project manager to lead a high-impact software migration initiative within a field operations environment. This role will support the transition from IQGeo to VETRO while driving execution across engineering, field operations, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate an active software/system migration program in a field operations environment
• Manage relationships with outside plant (OSP) engineers, field operations teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Drive project execution, accountability, risk management, and issue resolution
• Facilitate project planning, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and governance activities
• Ensure alignment between operational teams and project objectives throughout the migration lifecycle
• Monitor project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables using Smartsheet or similar project management tools
• Proactively identify and address obstacles impacting project success
• Provide visibility and executive-level communication to leadership teams

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a senior project manager leading software or system migration initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated success influencing teams without direct authority
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in remote environments
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and execution-oriented
• Experience working in field operations environments
• Preferred industry experience in Fiber Broadband, Telecommunications, ISP, Utilities (electric, gas, water, sewer), Construction, or Infrastructure deployment
• Experience with IQGeo, VETRO, GIS, network deployment, or broadband expansion programs is a plus
• PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications are preferred but not required
