GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Procurement – Advanced Nuclear to oversee the procurement and delivery of advanced nuclear plant components. The role involves managing supplier performance, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and leading project-related activities to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
- Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
- Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
- Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
- Develop and issue the Project Management Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
- Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
- Ensure compliance with U. S. export control and other requirements as applicable
- Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
- Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
- Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
- Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in project management, engineering, or business
- OR High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in project management, engineering, or business
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- BWR Operations/Maintenance experiencing is highly desired
- Training development or training program experience is highly desired
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM
- Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
- Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
- Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
- Demonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectives
- Financial control knowledge and understanding
- Demonstrated professional interpersonal and influencing skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
