They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for engineering and design tasks on Advanced Facilities/Life Sciences projects, ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction while leading a team of engineers and designers.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering and design of facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, equipment & construction specifications and hazardous area classifications in some of the most complex industrial facilities on the planet
- Evaluating the desired goal of the system and developing, designing, and selecting the required equipment or power/controls to achieve the goal
- Performing calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications
- Directing activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements
- Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer
- Using engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Performing tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited program
- PE, Professional Engineer license preferred
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design of building
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash studies
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members
- Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered
- Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartplant, Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
- Life Science and/or advanced manufacturing facility electrical design experience
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
