DevOps Engineer T3 (526)

Sharp Decisions is seeking a DevOps Engineer T3 for a fully remote contract position. The role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting cloud infrastructure, and developing automation to improve operational efficiencies while implementing security controls.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and provision cloud infrastructure
• Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software applications
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and introduce orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) as scale requires
• Implement security into deployments by design, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation
• Implement monitoring and observability to track system health, performance, and reliability
• Support database operations including scaling, backups, and recovery

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen — no dual citizens
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience in production environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of strong hands-on cloud experience, preferably AWS, in production environments
• In-depth understanding of Docker and containerization workflows, including Kubernetes
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitLab Runner
• Solid scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
• Experience supporting MS-SQL or similar relational databases
• Strong understanding of security fundamentals and access management
• AWS experience strongly preferred
