Job Title: Network Architect (Co-location & Data Center)
Location: Frederick, MD(Onsite)
Duration: Long term contract
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect in designing and implementing network solutions for colocation and future Urbana Data Center initiatives. This is a consulting role focused on architecture, solutioning, and migration support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect network solutions across colo and multi-site environments
- Lead colo migration activities, including DIA/Fiber connectivity across sites
- Develop high-level and low-level network designs
- Implement high-speed LAN (25G/100G) and WAN (10G+) connectivity
- Ensure network performance, scalability, and security
- Support integration with storage, virtualization, and telephony systems
Required Skills & Technologies
- Cisco Nexus 9000 switches and enterprise routing
- Palo Alto Firewalls (PA-3440 & 1420)
- SD-WAN, VLANs, network segmentation
- DIA/Fiber connectivity across multiple data centers
Experience with:
- Pure Storage replication
- VMware vMotion
- Avaya / MS Teams telephony
- Server platforms (Dell PowerEdge, Cisco UCS preferred)
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years in network engineering/architecture
- Proven colocation (colo) migration experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in multi-site network design
Certifications
- Cisco CCIE (preferred/strongly desired)
- Palo Alto certification (PCNSE or equivalent)
