Akraya, Inc. is an award-winning IT staffing firm recognized for its commitment to excellence. The role focuses on building a cloud-based data ecosystem for the finance organization, integrating fragmented financial data into a unified platform to enable advanced analytics and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT) that ingest complex financial data into our cloud data platform
• Architect data models tailored for financial reporting, ensuring they support critical processes like Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Source-to-Pay (S2P)
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of financial data sources (specifically SAP S/4HANA, legacy ERPs, and third-party financial APIs)
• Implement strict data governance, data lineage, and security controls required for sensitive financial and compliance data (SOX, GDPR, etc.)
• Eliminate data fragmentation by unifying disjointed billing, procurement, and accounting systems into a single, high-performance data lake
• Optimize data structures to support real-time financial reporting, reducing close cycles from weeks to days

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2–3 years focused heavily on financial data systems
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data warehouses and hyperscalers (e.g., Google BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Databricks)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java) for data manipulation and pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
• Direct experience working with the data structures and tables of major enterprise ERPs, with a strong preference for SAP S/4HANA
• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA
