Director, AI Solutions Expert—Agent Developer, AIA

Pfizer is a leading pharmaceutical company, and they are seeking a Director, AI Solutions Expert—Agent Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI agents that automate workflows and enhance decision-making across the enterprise. The role involves collaborating with various teams to align AI initiatives with business outcomes, while ensuring the ethical and high-performance operation of agent-based systems.

Responsibilities:

• Define, plan, and lead the technical direction for assigned AI initiatives
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to align AI priorities with business outcomes
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure knowledge sharing across the team
• Contribute to cross-pod governance and represent the AI Accelerator in enterprise discussions
• Architect and implement scalable, efficient, and secure AI or data systems
• Drive the development of automation workflows and APIs that integrate with business tools
• Utilize cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP) and MLOps frameworks for continuous delivery
• Ensure code quality, testing, and maintainability through best development practices
• Develop KPIs and success metrics for team deliverables
• Oversee documentation, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization in agile environments
• Ensure system monitoring, observability, and proactive issue resolution
• Continuously optimize performance and cost efficiency of AI systems
• Partner with Business Translators, UI/UX, and Change Management teams to translate needs into deployable AI solutions
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks that enhance automation or predictive insights
• Drive innovation through hackathons, proof-of-concepts, and partnerships with vendors
• Promote a culture of responsible AI, ethics, and compliance
