Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst

US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst to support enterprise reporting modernization efforts by assisting with report conversion, dashboard development, data analysis, and information delivery initiatives across HR and Financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• This position will support enterprise reporting modernization efforts by assisting with report conversion, dashboard development, data analysis, and information delivery initiatives across HR and Financial systems
• Expertise in developing interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for enterprise reporting environments
• Proficiency in creating paginated and operational reports using Power BI Report Builder and comparable reporting tools
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including the ability to develop complex joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions, and troubleshoot data discrepancies across large enterprise datasets
• Strong ability to analyze, reconcile, and validate data across multiple systems and reporting sources
• Expertise in designing dashboards with drill-through functionality, slicers, KPIs, bookmarks, and dynamic filtering capabilities
• Knowledge of semantic models and enterprise reporting datasets, including relationships, hierarchies, measures, and report performance optimization techniques
• Ability to develop reports utilizing parameterization, export functionality, grouping, and large-volume dataset processing
• Proficiency in querying and analyzing data within Databricks and cloud analytics platforms using SQL and PySpark for reporting and analytical solutions
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, reporting datasets, data warehousing concepts, and database design principles
• Ability to perform report validation, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities
• Knowledge of role-based security, data governance principles, and reporting platform access controls
• Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective reporting, dashboard, and analytics solutions
• Strong analytical skills, including data modeling, data quality assurance, validation, and root-cause analysis
• Proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills
• Ability to support executive, operational, and analytical reporting initiatives and deliver actionable business insights
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing BI dashboards and enterprise reports using Power BI
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Databricks, data modeling through the Medallion Architecture, cluster management, optimizations, DLT pipelines
• 5+ years of experience writing advanced SQL queries for reporting, data analysis, and troubleshooting purposes
• 5+ years of experience developing operational and paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder
• 5+ years of experience supporting report conversion or reporting modernization initiatives
• 5+ years of experience working with Databricks, cloud analytics platforms, or enterprise data warehouse environments
• 5+ years of experience validating and reconciling report data between legacy and modern reporting platforms
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting reporting issues, identifying root causes, and resolving data discrepancies
• 5+ years of experience working with large and complex enterprise datasets across multiple functional areas
• 5+ years of experience gathering reporting requirements and working directly with business stakeholders during design and testing activities
• 5+ years of experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and report review processes
• 5+ years of experience developing executive dashboards, operational reports, and analytical reporting solutions
• 5+ years of experience with HR, Payroll, Financial, or operational reporting environments
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile or project-based development environments
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics or a closely related field
• Must possess at least one current, active industry-recognized certification in data analytics, business intelligence, cloud analytics, or data platform technologies
