Contractor – Lead Product Designer

Viget is an independent digital agency that has been branding, designing, and building digital products and platforms since 1999. They are seeking a Lead Product Designer to help clients concept, design, and launch complex digital experiences and products, involving all aspects of the design process including research, prototyping, and visual design.

Responsibilities:

• Independently drive large, complex projects from concept to completion
• Show expertise in interaction design and prototyping tools to communicate complex interactive design concepts
• Design high-quality, thoughtful interfaces that balance function, aesthetics, and usability
• Have experience working within an existing design system, deciding when to leverage pre-designed components and when there’s a need for new components
• Be familiar with the possibilities and limitations of modern development approaches including web applications, client-side applications, and native mobile applications
• Clearly communicate recommendations to clients and teammates and build alignment on product strategy, design, functionality, and usability
• Enjoy working with agile development teams on software applications, and helping clients focus on realistic deliverables
• Meet deadlines and be considerate of clients’ project budgets and timelines
• Take pride in proactively listening, communicating, and collaborating exceptionally well
