LEGO Digital Play is focused on bringing the LEGO brand into digital entertainment through innovative experiences. They are seeking a Director of Product Management to shape the roadmap for a consumer-facing application, collaborating with various teams to guide development and user acquisition.
Responsibilities:
- Define product vision, roadmap, and development priorities, balancing product needs, business strategy, and technical constraints. Maintain and shape a feature backlog
- Partner with internal and external partners to understand use cases, pain points, and business opportunities, and translate your findings into actionable user stories
- Work with a cross-functional team to develop business strategy and go-to-market plans for the broader initiative
- Spec out paper or lightweight prototypes to assist in concept and user testing
- Ensure decisions are communicated appropriately and the work on the application is appropriately documented and accessible to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Content and System Design Leads to craft a tightly integrated experience
- Manage a small team of UX and product management professionals
- Identify challenges early and drive resolution—either directly or through escalation with clear recommendations
Requirements:
- Experience in game development and product management, particularly product ownership
- Proven experience bringing new products to market
- Fluency with scrum and/or similar project management methodologies
- Proven ability to translate product vision into scalable, shippable systems
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a small team
- Ability to operate in ambiguity while building structure and clarity
- Excellent communication and synthesis skills
- Experience with hybrid physical/digital systems
- Experience working with external partners, IP holders, or creative collaborators
- Familiarity with distributing products via the iOS and Google Play app stores
