Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst

Russell Tobin is a government organization seeking a Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst. The role involves developing and maintaining BI dashboards and reports, optimizing reporting solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI
• Design, build, and optimize reporting solutions leveraging Databricks, including Medallion Architecture, cluster management, and Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines
• Create operational, executive, and paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder
• Support reporting modernization and report conversion initiatives from legacy reporting platforms to modern cloud-based analytics environments
• Develop advanced SQL queries to support reporting, data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting activities
• Validate and reconcile data across legacy and modern reporting platforms to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data discrepancies
• Work with large, complex enterprise datasets across multiple business functions and operational areas
• Gather business requirements and collaborate directly with stakeholders throughout design, development, testing, and deployment phases
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, report review, and production implementation activities
• Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making
• Partner with business users and technical teams in Agile project environments to deliver reporting solutions that meet organizational objectives
• Document reporting requirements, technical specifications, data mappings, and reporting processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience developing BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Databricks
• Medallion Architecture
• Cluster Management and Optimization
• Delta Live Tables (DLT) Pipelines
• Minimum 5+ years of advanced SQL development experience for reporting, analytics, and troubleshooting
• Minimum 5+ years of experience developing operational and paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder
• Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting reporting modernization, migration, and conversion initiatives
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Databricks, cloud analytics platforms, or enterprise data warehouse environments
• Minimum 5+ years of experience validating and reconciling report data across multiple reporting systems
• Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting UAT, report validation, and testing activities
• Minimum 5+ years of experience developing executive dashboards, operational reporting, and analytical reporting solutions
• Experience working in Agile or project-based development environments required
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and business requirements gathering skills
• Must have Certification/s :
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field preferred
• Experience supporting HR, Payroll, Financial, or Operational reporting functions preferred
