NewtekOne is a financial holding company providing business solutions to the small- and medium-sized business market. They are seeking a Customer Service Representative for their Lending division, responsible for outbound calls, managing incoming leads, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to assigned prospective clients to qualify the call for a meeting with a Business Service Specialist
- Answer incoming phone calls for all Newtek divisions as applicable, direct calls to appropriate department
- Interact with customers by way of telephone or email in a professional manner
- Provide outstanding professional customer service
- Use Newtracker (internal system) to enter client information and assign to appropriate department with regard to distributing workload evenly
- Use Newtracker (internal system) daily to manage and update the pipeline of prospects and potential sales leads in a timely manner
- Provide direct bridge to alliance partner call center, as well as Newtek division teams
- Serve as quality assurance checkpoint, alerting appropriate parties of any issues or suspected issues
- If an opportunity presents itself, cross sell other Newtek services to a new or existing customer with the belief that you are creating a partnership and serving the customer by introducing them to additional products or services that assist the business owner in increasing sales, reducing expenses and minimizing risk
- Provide timely and accurate status of assigned referrals to Management
- Maintain strong knowledge base of all Newtek business units as they relate to Lending
- Properly explain the products and services to prospective customers when making appointments
- Follow-up & respond to all sales leads generated in our system to increase sales
Requirements:
- Computer literate: Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills are essential
- Excellent attention to detail, follow up, and problem solving ability
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work flexible hours and days (Including holidays and weekends)
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
- Ability to handle large volumes of incoming and outbound calls daily
- Self-motivating and great team work attitude
- Ability to quickly learn about company products or services
- Ability to meet deadlines and plan accordingly
- Proven experience as an appointment setter, sales representative, or similar will be advantageous
