Trissential is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join their client’s Next Gen Data Architecture team. This role involves building modern, scalable data platforms and optimizing data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to support healthcare analytics and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and configure Microsoft Fabric to support integration with Cogito Cloud
- Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines, transformations, and platform components within Fabric
- Implement robust ETL/ELT processes using batch and streaming ingestion patterns
- Apply medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and optimize Lakehouse data models for performance
- Support data validation, lineage, certification, and governance to ensure trusted data delivery
- Partner with stakeholders on integration, testing, and go-live readiness
- Document functional and technical specifications clearly and thoroughly
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices across the team
- Explore new Fabric features and recommend enhancements to the platform
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric (required), including:
- Lakehouse architecture
- Fabric Data Factory pipelines
- Dataflows Gen2
- Warehousing and SQL endpoints
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Strong experience with Python and/or PySpark
- Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Solid understanding of Delta Lake and parquet‑based storage
- Experience with Azure data services (ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL)
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, Git)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR Equivalent professional experience (5+ years) in data engineering or platform development
- Power BI semantic models or dataset development experience
- Real‑time analytics experience within Microsoft Fabric
- Exposure to data cataloging, lineage, or certification tools
- Experience supporting downstream analytics or AI/ML use cases
- Knowledge of healthcare data governance or HIPAA concepts
