Job Title: Quality Management Test Analyst
Location: West Sacramento, CA (On-site / Hybrid flexibility)
Duration: Up to 12 months (with potential extension up to 24 additional months)
Work Hours: ~160 hours per month
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Management Test Analyst to support complex enterprise software initiatives. This role involves leading and executing software testing efforts across the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring high-quality deliverables, timely defect resolution, and optimal system performance.
The ideal candidate will act as a senior-level testing specialist, contributing to enterprise testing strategies, frameworks, and quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and user stories to define functional and non-functional testing needs
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather and validate test requirements
- Design and develop test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data
- Execute and lead various testing phases including System Testing, UAT, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing
- Maintain and update test documentation including test plans, defect management plans, and test reports
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and recommend improvements
- Establish and maintain test environments, tools, and data sets
- Contribute to enterprise-wide testing frameworks, tools, and best practices
- Support standardization of QA processes aligned with enterprise architecture
- Provide weekly and monthly status reports, including risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
- Deliver final project reports including outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and documentation handover
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT/IS, with a strong focus on software testing and quality assurance
- Minimum 5 years of experience creating test strategies, test plans, and test design documentation
- Minimum 5 years of experience translating business and technical requirements into test cases
- Minimum 5 years of experience setting up and managing test environments, tools, and test data
- Minimum 5 years of experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Jama, ALM)
- Minimum 5 years of experience testing COTS, SaaS, and custom-built applications
- Strong experience in test execution, defect analysis, and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing testing for enterprise-level IT projects
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, ECM, ESB platforms
- Experience working with external vendors or large organizations
- Strong SQL/database querying skills
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and V-Model
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Work Model
- Primarily on-site in West Sacramento, CA
- Hybrid flexibility may be available (2 3 days onsite preferred)
