Job Overview:
Pay Rate $45.97/hr - $49.97/hr
- This position involves conducting routine and non-routine cellular assays to support in vitro assay development.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Master s degree from an accredited institution with one-plus (1+) years of experience in a related scientific discipline (Computer Science, Genomics, Biostatistics or Bioinformatics preferred) OR Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution with seven-plus (7+) years of experience in a STEM discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and non-routine cellular assays to support in vitro assay development.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to run assays consistently.
- Initiate and complete routine in vitro studies independently and efficiently.
- Interpret outcomes of experiments and propose appropriate follow-up; troubleshoot effectively.
- Assist in the design and execution of non-routine experiments in the context of cell-based in vitro and biochemical assays.
- Conduct exploratory experiments with minimal supervision.
- Apply basic scientific principles for study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Perform literature searches and extract relevant information from published protocols when required.
- Independently operate and be responsible for lab equipment; troubleshoot effectively.
- Communicate work effectively orally and in writing; contribute to writing protocols, procedures, and technical reports.
- Provide input for scientific reports.
- Report and treat data with a high level of integrity and ethics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic lab notebooks.
- Comply with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe and compliant manner.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with non-viral in vitro gene delivery techniques and cell-based imaging.
- Proven problem-solving ability with an aptitude for agile learning.
- Ability to contribute to the design, execution, and interpretation of non-routine experiments with minimal supervision.
Skills:
- Experience in aseptic cell culture techniques and molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, Western Blot, and ELISA.
- Experience with in vitro cellular assay execution and assay development.
- Written and verbal communication skills for concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information.
- Proficiency with computers and data analysis software such as Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism.
- Ability and willingness to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.
- Cell culture experience and experience in functional cellular assays.
