ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, and they are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to provide technical support for EPA projects related to Superfund and contaminated site remediation. The role involves leveraging engineering knowledge for site characterization, managing project teams, and supporting technology transfer initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage hands-on knowledge and experience with site characterization and remediation technologies to promote improvements to the cleanup of Superfund sites
- Support technology transfer and training by identifying and evaluating ways to advance contaminated site cleanup including innovative technologies, approaches, strategies, and best practices
- Provide technical support developing conceptual site models, site strategies, optimization recommendations and assisting with systematic project planning
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and client engagement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (environmental, civil, structural or similar discipline)
- Minimum 8 years of experience conducting site characterization and remediation of Superfund, Brownfields, and other contaminated sites
- Experience with remediation of mining sites and the unique challenges associated with mining sites and mining influenced water
- Knowledge of EPA Superfund cleanup program and policies
- Expertise in developing technical deliverables and training materials
- Team player with demonstrated project management skills including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with clients
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
