Job Title: Mainframe Developer Cloud Migration(Onsite)
Oklahoma City and Chicago, IL.
Long Term Project
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and implement migration strategies for legacy mainframe applications to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to ensure requirements are met throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Re-engineer COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe components for cloud compatibility.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate migrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after migration.
- Document technical processes, migration steps, and system architectures.
- Ensure security, compliance, and performance standards are maintained during migration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mainframe development (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, etc.).
- Proven experience with mainframe-to-cloud migration projects.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with tools such as Micro Focus, Blu Age, or similar migration technologies is a plus.
