Data Engineering Manager

Doximity is transforming the healthcare industry, aiming to help every physician be more productive and provide better care for their patients. The Data Engineering Manager will lead a team of data engineers to develop data pipelines and establish data architecture processes, ensuring alignment and success across the Data Organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks in order to facilitate the extraction of insights
• Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated and serve as standards for other teams to leverage
• Inform data team strategy by working with the product leaders and managers
• Actively participate in execution and some planning of organizational data team strategy
• Collaborate with Doximity’s Data Leadership team to ensure alignment and success across the entire Data Organization
• Manage individual Data Engineers to foster learning, growth and success at Doximity

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role
• Experience in creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and other engineering best practices
• Expert in Python and possess fluency in SQL
• Experience managing 3 or more people, accountable for their growth and success as individuals and team members
• Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical people, with an ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Ability to contribute individually, balancing priorities between being a player (i.e. individual contributor) and a coach (i.e. manager or mentor)
• Experience leading several projects from idea generation to planning, execution, through delivering
• Working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored
