Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade procurement and workflow integration solutions. The role involves working closely with various teams to build scalable integration frameworks that enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend integrations supporting procurement, intake, approval, and purchasing workflows
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that connect enterprise applications, ERP platforms, and workflow management systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
- Analyze existing business processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implement automation and integration improvements
- Develop and support API-based, event-driven, and middleware-driven integrations across enterprise systems
- Ensure accurate data synchronization, transformation, validation, and mapping between multiple platforms
- Troubleshoot integration issues, monitor system health, and optimize performance and reliability
- Create technical designs, architecture documentation, implementation plans, and operational support documentation
- Participate in testing, deployment, release management, and knowledge transfer activities
- Provide technical leadership and best practices for backend architecture, integration patterns, and workflow automation initiatives
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development and enterprise integrations
- Proven experience designing and implementing integrations for procurement, intake, workflow, ERP, or finance-related systems
- Strong expertise in REST APIs, web services, middleware platforms, and system-to-system integrations
- Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and modern integration patterns
- Solid understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P), procurement lifecycle, intake management, approval workflows, and related business processes
- Experience working with data transformation, validation, synchronization, and integration governance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate business processes and recommend scalable technical solutions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working independently in fast-paced, agile environments
- Experience with procurement and workflow platforms such as Zip, Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement, or similar enterprise solutions
- Familiarity with ERP platforms including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, NetSuite, or comparable enterprise systems
- Experience supporting vendor management, purchasing, invoicing, approval, and procurement operations
- Knowledge of cloud-native integration architectures and modern backend design principles
- Experience with enterprise data integration, workflow orchestration, and automation platforms
- Understanding of security, compliance, and governance considerations in enterprise integrations
