About this role
ASCENDING Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to support the migration of legacy systems and the modernization of APIs to align with ITGC standards. This role is crucial to ensuring effective integration with new systems while building audit-ready, future-proof data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Migrate the current systems to integrate directly with a new solution
- Collaborate with the internal teams to support their transition to new solutions as needed
- Modernize the commissions API by designing and delivering a tokenized, reportable structure aligned with ITGC standards
- Ensure data is passed accurately and securely to support audit readiness
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure required data is transferred appropriately
- Contribute to architectural discussions and provide hands-on coding support for new and existing systems
Requirements:
- 7-10 years overall development experience in Java
- Strong experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in Spring Boot
- Experience with Golang for backend development
- Familiarity with containerization tools
- Experience with AWS technologies including ECS/Fargate, CloudFormation, SQS, and Lambda
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders and teams
