AI Software Engineer

Brightly is a leading digital marketplace in the recreational boating industry, and they are seeking an AI Software Engineer passionate about process efficiency and automation. In this role, you will design and develop AI agents that automate workflows, streamline operations, and enhance productivity across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered Agents that automate and optimize key workflows across teams
• Identify high-value opportunities for automation by deeply understanding internal processes and pain points
• Use LLMs and automation platforms (OpenAI, Claude Skills, LangChain, Zapier, n8n) to build intelligent, reasoning-based systems that perform tasks end-to-end
• Architect and develop scalable backend solutions using Node.js, integrating APIs, databases, and event-driven systems
• Prototype and iterate quickly — using experimentation and data to refine agent reliability, performance, and impact
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business operations into automated, AI-driven workflows
• Ensure reliability, security, and ethical design in every automation project
• Contribute to the company’s AI automation strategy, shaping how we deploy Agents across departments and use cases
