Kanpla is a fast-growing scaleup that builds a platform for contract catering across Europe and the US. They are seeking a Software Engineer – Integrations to develop and improve existing integrations, build new ones, and collaborate with the backend team to enhance the product's capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve our existing integrations — getting hands-on with the integrations already powering our customers, learning how they work, and improve them even further
- Build new integrations — extending Kanpla into food management systems, ERP systems, and other third-party platforms our customers rely on
- Work with our Backend focus team — work with our backend team to strengthen the product's foundation, help building endpoints that could be consumed both internally and via integrations
- Drive new integration projects end-to-end — With help from the team, taking leading role in scoping and design through delivery and operation
- Help evaluate how to speed up custom developments e.g. using a iPaaS versus strategic product integrations
- Take part in developing and implementing the Kanpla public API, helping shape how external systems and partners build on top of Kanpla
- Contribute to core business logic in central parts of the Kanpla product, making the core parts of Kanpla work seamlessly
- Grow your craft as a backend engineer — taking on more complex problems, more ownership, and more influence over how we build
Requirements:
- A clear interest in backend engineering and the kind of problems that come with it: data, systems, integrations, reliability
- A working understanding of TypeScript and Node.js — you don't need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable reading and writing code in both
- Not afraid of making mistakes. We value learning and improving over playing it safe
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, things move quickly, and ownership is encouraged from day one
- A collaborative mindset — you enjoy working with other engineers and across teams
- Prior experience building or consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
- Experience working with third-party systems, ERPs, or food management/POS platforms
- Familiarity with GCP, Firestore, or PostgreSQL
