Description: Manufacturing Engineer II Direct Hire Shelbyville, TN 37160 (Hybrid) Job Description: Automotive manufacturing engineering role focused on launch support, continuous improvement, production troubleshooting, tooling/equipment support, and manufacturing process optimization within a Tier 1 environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Support new product launches and manufacturing process development
- Develop manufacturing documentation including routings, work instructions, PFMEA/process documentation
- Support tooling and equipment sourcing/implementation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
- Scrap reduction
- Downtime reduction
- Efficiency improvements
- Labor/manning optimization
- Provide day-to-day production line support and troubleshooting
- Conduct time studies and routing maintenance
- Support equipment improvements, error proofing, and standardization
- Assist with run-at-rate activities and manufacturing readiness
- Coordinate with suppliers on tooling/equipment purchases
- Support quality and process deviation documentation

- High-volume manufacturing environments
