Emerson is a global leader in automation technology and software, and they are seeking a Business Analyst to grow their career by designing, improving, and supporting business processes across the ERP environment. The role involves partnering with global stakeholders to translate business needs into effective system solutions and continuously improve processes through data and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing business priorities with available resources
- Support a global ERP user community by serving as a system subject matter expert across multiple functional areas, including responding to user inquiries and delivering virtual training sessions for users worldwide
- Partner with functional teams, lead business analysts, and development teams to identify opportunities for system and process improvements by gaining a deep understanding of business roles and workflows
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate system configuration or data changes, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved without negatively impacting dependent processes
- Educate end users on configuration options and explain how system changes influence downstream processes
- Ensure business process implementations align with established data and process standards defined by the Lead Business Analyst
- Apply a variety of analytical tools and techniques to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
- Develop and deliver ad hoc reports to support management decision-making
- Collaborate with ERP technical support to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by users
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and business objectives
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates the required skills and knowledge
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
- The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple workstreams, and adapt to changing priorities
- Cross-functional awareness with the ability to understand and balance the needs of diverse users and business functions
- Flexibility to collaborate with global teams, including the ability to work outside of standard U.S. business hours when needed
- 5 or more years of experience in customer service, order entry, pricing, shipping, inventory, or warehousing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications or similar productivity tools
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization through written and verbal communication
