Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (APM) to lead the successful delivery of a large-scale enterprise data platform initiative within the P&C Insurance domain. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, program governance, stakeholder management, and deep expertise in cloud data ecosystems, Snowflake, SQL, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise data programs in high-pressure production environments, supporting daily data loads, live reporting views, and mission-critical insurance data operations.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Management
Lead end-to-end execution of enterprise-scale data platform initiatives using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Manage cross-functional technical teams across engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
Drive project planning, execution, delivery governance, risk management, and status reporting.
Technical Leadership
- Oversee implementation and optimization of enterprise data pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
- Manage data movement across validation, transformation, abstract, and data store layers.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, observability, and performance of Snowflake-based data platforms.
- Support production environments involving daily batch loads, live views, and real-time reporting dependencies.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership and client stakeholders.
- Conduct governance meetings, QBRs, executive status reviews, and steering committee updates.
- Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business objectives.
Data & Insurance Domain Alignment
- Work closely with business teams supporting Policy, Claims, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Workers Compensation, GL, Auto, and Property insurance functions.
- Drive data quality, lineage, compliance, and governance standards across enterprise data systems.
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Track delivery KPIs, resource planning, forecasting, budgets, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Manage program risks, dependencies, escalations, and delivery health metrics.
Required Qualifications
- 12 15+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Data Delivery, or Enterprise Platform Management.
- Strong experience in P&C Insurance and Reinsurance domain.
- Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake and advanced SQL.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes.
- Experience managing production support environments with daily ingestion pipelines and live operational reporting.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake Certification
- Azure or AWS Cloud Certifications
- Experience with GenAI or AI-driven data initiatives in Insurance
- Exposure to enterprise data governance and observability frameworks
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
