Principal Software Engineer | Remote

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineering Expert to provide technical consultation on advanced engineering and AI pipeline opportunities. The role involves collaborating with technical teams on research and system design, leading debugging efforts, and advising on AI applications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical consultation on advanced engineering and AI pipeline opportunities
• Collaborate with technical teams on complex research and system design initiatives
• Design sample engineering tasks and scalable technical solutions for client-facing projects
• Lead debugging efforts for ambiguous, high-impact production challenges
• Make architectural decisions balancing scalability, maintainability, and business requirements
• Advise teams on practical AI and large-scale system applications
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in debugging large-scale production systems
• Deep experience with software architecture and technical tradeoff analysis
• Excellent system-thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong judgment, ownership, and prioritization skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience leading or advising complex engineering initiatives
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
