Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. They are seeking a self-driven Senior Software Engineer in Test to be the founding quality engineer for their new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for MedTech product, focusing on building the quality engineering process from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Define automation strategies
- Design and develop new automation frameworks using modern technologies
- Monitor, analyze, and report test automation results
- Contribute to automation infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with Developers, QA, and PMs to identify automation test cases that will ensure product quality
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in software test automation or software development
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Deep proficiency with API and UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, or Postman
- Thorough understanding of modern best practices for software development like design patterns, code reusability, extensibility, and maintainability
- Experience with tools that can generate large and realistic test data
- Ability to navigate and understand complex product requirements
- Experience and ability in developing test automation frameworks from scratch
- Expertise using tools like Git and Maven/Gradle
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Strong written and verbal English skills to support complex analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
