Grant Street Group builds high-quality software and provides uncompromising support for tax collection, electronic payments, and auctions. They are seeking a Data Engineer to build and support high performance data solutions while collaborating with team members to enhance user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Building and supporting high performance data solutions
- Monitoring and responding to our growing network of tools
- Facing and overcoming complex technical challenges
- Supporting the tools and pipelines you build
- Monitoring them in production
- Troubleshooting issues when they arise
- Collaborating with your team members as well as our product teams to create a great experience for our users
Requirements:
- Strong SQL, including data modeling concepts and ETL best practices
- Solid programming skills in Python or Go, and willingness to learn other languages as needed (Groovy, Perl)
- Experience with cloud‑based data engineering (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with tools for large‑scale data migration (Databricks)
- TechOps skills that help you support analytics tools, patch and update platforms, and troubleshoot system issues or failures
- Comfort with the Linux command line and shell scripting
