Principal Business Analyst

Majesco is leading the AI revolution in the insurance and pension markets with a cloud-based intelligent platform. The Principal Business Analyst – Billing (P&C) will act as a key liaison between insurance carriers and software delivery teams, focusing on P&C billing processes and maximizing product capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements discovery, analysis, and documentation for P&C billing processes, rules, products, and integrations
• Review client documentation and current‑state processes, clearly identifying impacts, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
• Configure the billing system to fit client requirements and recommend solutions that maximize use of standard product capabilities while minimizing customization
• Perform gap analysis for new requirements, support scope definition/estimation, and clarify questions for global delivery and product teams
• Collaborate with product, configuration, technical, and client stakeholders to design and validate the end‑to‑end billing solution, including batch jobs, outputs, and interfaces
• Maintain requirements traceability from business needs through design, configuration, and testing, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
• Define and/or review test scenarios, test cases, and test plans; support SIT/UAT, defect triage, and regression testing to confirm business needs are met
• Act as a functional SME and Product Owner, providing backlog input, accepting stories, and delivering training and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams
• Support cutover, go‑live, and post‑go‑live stabilization activities for the billing workstream as needed
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams and client stakeholders across time zones, adjusting work hours as needed to support workshops, clarifications, and project ceremonies

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in a strategic Business Analyst role on large-scale IT projects, with at least 4+ years focused on P&C Billing and insurance billing systems
• Strong Property & Casualty insurance domain knowledge, including billing, payments, fees, refunds, dunning/collections, and related regulations across states/jurisdictions
• Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document requirements (user stories, use cases, process flows, functional specs) and translate them into practical solution designs
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working with both business and technical audiences
• Hands-on experience working in Agile / SAFe environments, including backlog management, estimation, and collaboration with distributed/global teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, traceability, and on-time delivery
• Experience with Majesco Billing or other enterprise insurance billing platforms is a strong plus
• Overall 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, with at least 4+ years focused on P&C Billing
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
