Oracle Media Services is hiring a Consulting Member of Technical Staff to help lead Studio in the Cloud, a product line focused on enabling studio-grade creative workloads on OCI. This role involves owning cross-team technical initiatives and improving engineering systems for production-grade creative workflows in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end architecture and execution for critical Studio in the Cloud features across OCI Batch, GPU readiness, 5K scale, Fractional GPU enablement, and related platform dependencies
- Drive Batch/SDA acceptance and production-readiness workstreams by clarifying ownership, sequencing dependencies, and closing technical and operational gaps
- Strengthen operational posture through observability, runbooks, incident-prevention practices, readiness reviews, reliability metrics, and customer escalation discipline
- Partner across Oracle Media Services, OCI infrastructure, product, support, and customer-facing teams to remove blockers and align roadmap delivery with customer commitments
- Introduce practical AI-first engineering workflows that reduce reporting toil, improve delivery confidence, and help engineers move faster without weakening review, security, or quality practices
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical direction, execution planning, and examples of senior-level ownership in ambiguous environments
- Translate customer adoption blockers into actionable technical plans with clear risks, milestones, tradeoffs, and operational handoffs
- Communicate technical status, decisions, risks, and options crisply to senior engineering, product, and operational stakeholders
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience designing, building, and operating distributed cloud services, workflow orchestration systems, media platforms, GPU infrastructure, or high-scale production platforms
- Evidence of leading ambiguous cross-team initiatives through architecture, execution ownership, dependency management, and production readiness as an individual contributor
- Strong system design judgment across scalability, reliability, observability, operational safety, cost, and customer impact
- Hands-on experience improving service operations, including incident response, runbooks, reliability metrics, readiness reviews, or customer escalation processes
- Experience using or introducing AI-assisted engineering workflows, developer-productivity automation, reporting automation, or SDLC improvements in a quality-conscious environment
- Ability to influence without direct authority across engineering, product, operations, support, and infrastructure teams
- Clear written and verbal communication for architecture tradeoffs, executive-ready status, roadmap risks, and operational decisions
- Background in media workflows, cloud rendering, creative production platforms, Batch systems, GPU scheduling, HPC, or adjacent infrastructure is strongly relevant
