Definity is a leading technology company focused on AI-driven solutions and digital transformation, continuously expanding its team to support innovative, high-impact projects. They are seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure quality and improve overall test coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and execute advanced test suites
- Implement and execute test strategies on all supported platforms and languages to help improve overall quality and test code coverage
- Responsible for functional testing and automated testing
- Write backend integration tests and tests for RESTful APIs
- Develop frameworks and automated test cases using Selenium and Python
- Design and develop integration, regression, and stress tests using industry standard tools
- Use and integrate AI tools to improve your work
- Collaborate with Engineers and Program Managers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases
- Define, implement, and maintain test plans, test specifications and test suites
- Provide technical leadership, driving and performing engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs
Requirements:
- Interest in relocating and living in the United States
- On-site position in Fremont, California
- Must have Mexican nationality
- Valid Mexican passport required
- Bachelor's degree and professional license (cédula profesional)
- 3+ years of experience as a SDET, QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) or similar
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Go, Typescript
- Experience with web, mobile and API's validation
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks in one of Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Zephyr or similar
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL database queries for test validation
- Knowledge of log analysis using tools like Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring
- Experience with API testing using Postman, or similar tools
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Advanced English (required) – ability to communicate effectively in meetings and with international teams
