SPECTRAFOR is seeking a Product Manager to lead a high-performance asphalt repair product line. This role involves driving sales growth, managing financial performance, and coordinating inventory while expanding market presence and developing key accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and product volume
- Build relationships with municipalities, utilities, contractors, distributors, retailers, and private-sector clients
- Generate new business through proactive outreach and business development efforts
- Represent the product line at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Lead bid and proposal activities, coordinating internally on pricing, logistics, and supply planning
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM systems
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics including revenue, margins, sales volume, and inventory turns
- Support pricing strategies with a profitability-focused approach
- Partner with Accounting to ensure timely invoicing and operational accuracy
- Forecast demand and manage finished goods inventory across production and distribution locations
- Coordinate with production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control and plant operations to ensure consistent product performance and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Sales, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel regularly within the territory, including overnight travel approximately within a 3-hour radius of the Chicagoland area
- Comfortable with CRM systems, forecasting, margin analysis, bid/specification processes, and reporting
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
