About this role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to provide professional leadership, relationship management, and tactical execution for large-scale enterprise projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders while guiding key modernization initiatives.
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid: 1 2 days onsite per week)
Interview Process: Initial interview via Microsoft Teams $\rightarrow$ Final interview in-person
Key Project Focus
- Lead the end-to-end migration of an on-premises Oracle Data Warehouse to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) using BigQuery, Dataflow, and DataStream.
Must-Have Core Skills
- 10+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in complex IT project/portfolio coordination across multiple business areas and geographies.
- Data Warehouse & Cloud Migration: Strong background in data modernization, specifically moving on-premises databases to Cloud ecosystems (Google Cloud preferred).
- Technical Translation: Exceptional ability to translate complex technology terms and SDLC concepts to non-technical business partners.
- Framework Flexibility: Deep knowledge of multiple methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid frameworks.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: 10+ years of experience driving senior staff to success and mentoring intermediate project managers.
Highly Desired Skills
- Experience managing and tracking project workflows within Azure DevOps.
- Active PMP Certification.
- Prior experience managing large-scale public sector or state-level software projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and budgets.
- Coordinate activities across multiple internal stakeholders and contracted vendors.
- Define project team roles, user requirements, deliverables, and approval metrics.
- Communicate clear, high-level project status updates to senior management.
