Senior Research Scientist

Awetomaton is a Dayton-based defense startup that specializes in satellite collection and aims to bridge the skill and culture gap in the industry. They are seeking a Senior Research Scientist to enhance and optimize R&D algorithms, applying expertise in imagery science and software development to derive insights from raw sensor data.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers & decision makers
• Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements
• Expertise developing image processing algorithm in Python
• Experienced in OPIR image processing and data exploitation
• Familiarity with algorithm deployment concepts including containerization and databases
