Business Analyst

Ryan Specialty is a company that focuses on providing data-driven insights to improve business outcomes. The Lead Business Intelligence Specialist will work closely with business leaders to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable reports that support business and IT teams in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities:

• Aggregates large, complex data sets from multiple databases and creates reports and dashboards
• Collaborates with appropriate parties within the organization to integrate new data sources into our existing data infrastructure
• Delivers complex and actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
• Designs, builds, tests, and maintains reports and dashboards and identifies potential improvements to existing business intelligence, reporting and data analysis
• Collaborates in cross-functional teams to implement analytical solutions
• Ensures data quality, adherence to departmental guidelines, profitability, business impact, and other risk-related metrics for self and members of the team
• Analyzes current business processes; makes recommendations to management for new, more efficient, workflows, and processes
• Uses and presents analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and profits of new business initiatives
• Validates data delivered to user community. Ensures compliance with Company data and software policies and procedures
• Lead, Coach and Mentor junior staff on projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Math, Economics, or Computer Science required
• 12+ years of technical experience in analytics, data science, actuarial or equivalent quantitative field required
