About this role
VySystems is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in SAP sales data domains and data warehouse development. The ideal candidate will have deep proficiency in SQL and experience working with SAP data as a source to design and build robust data pipelines and models.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for SAP sales data (orders, shipments, backlog, invoices)
- Translate SAP data structures into analytics-ready data models within Snowflake enterprise data warehouse
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) from SAP into Snowflake medallion layers
- Build and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data processing
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to ensure accurate representation of sales metrics
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance optimization across pipelines
- Support reporting and analytics use cases related to sales performance and operations
Requirements:
- Must have experience in SAP SD, DWH, SQL, SAP as Data Source, ETL, etc
- Strong expertise in SAP sales data domains and data warehouse development
- Deep proficiency in SQL
- Hands-on experience working with SAP data as source (orders, shipments, backlog, invoices)
- Ability to design and build robust data pipelines and models
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for SAP sales data (orders, shipments, backlog, invoices)
- Translate SAP data structures into analytics-ready data models within Snowflake enterprise data warehouse
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) from SAP into Snowflake medallion layers

- Support reporting and analytics use cases related to sales performance and operations
- Strong SAP data expertise (SD module preferred) demonstrates deep understanding of: Sales Orders, Shipments / Deliveries, Backlog, Billing / Invoices
- Advanced SQL proficiency (must-have)
- Proven experience in data warehouse development (dimensional modeling, fact/dimension design, etc.)
- Experience as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT design
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt
- Exposure to modern cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure)
