A forward-thinking technology organization is looking for a Cloud QA Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications within a modern cloud environment. This contract role, based in Canada (hybrid model), focuses on test automation and quality engineering across distributed systems, APIs, and user-facing applications.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3-6+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation
- Hands-on experience developing automated test suites for UI, API, and integration testing
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for test scripting and automation frameworks
- Experience working with modern testing tools for browser and cross-platform automation
- Background testing applications hosted in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong understanding of API validation and microservices-based systems
- Familiarity with source control systems and collaborative development workflows
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based delivery teams
- Exposure to containerized environments and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with performance or load testing practices and tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build workflows
- Knowledge of test reporting, monitoring, and quality metrics
- Experience with behavior-driven development frameworks or similar approaches
- Awareness of observability concepts such as logging, metrics, and tracing
- Exposure to event-driven systems or distributed architecture testing
