Software Engineer 1 (Backend)

Interview Kickstart is a premier career transformation platform focused on upskilling tech professionals through AI. The Software Engineer 1 (Backend) will work closely with experienced developers to design and develop new APIs, optimize existing ones, and contribute to front-end development when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• You will be closely working with a team of other experienced developers and doing pretty much everything, from developing large features to fixing on-call bugs
• You will be designing and developing new APIs, optimizing/fixing bugs in the existing APIs, and writing tests for the APIs
• If there are any on-call bugs, resolving them will be your first priority. And then, you will continue working on the feature development planned for the sprint
• Additionally, if you have experience/interest in front-end development, you will be contributing to front-end development in NextJS and jQuery

Requirements:

• 0.5+ years of full-time experience in Python and Django/Django REST framework (DRF)
• Good understanding of MySQL, Git, and GitHub/GitLab
• Good debugging and online searching skills
• Good communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills. (Ability to solve easy data structures and algorithms problems)
• An AI-first approach for solving the problems
