Structural Design Engineer (Beta Tester / Core Product Specialist)

AE-SYNC is a web-based, AI-powered engineering platform focused on automating multi-story reinforced concrete slab design. They are seeking practicing Structural Engineers to rigorously test their design and markup engines, providing feedback that will influence the platform's development.

Responsibilities:

• Ingest real-world or public-record PDF/DWG structural plans into our web canvas
• Evaluate the accuracy of automated slab edge boundaries, columns, walls, and opening extractions
• Review deterministic analysis calculations, stresses/deflections, and top/bottom reinforcement layouts
• File structured bug reports and feature recommendations based on actual project workflows

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Hands-on experience with gravity design for multi-story reinforced concrete structures
• Familiarity with building codes (ACI 318, IBC, or localized codes like NYC Building Code)
• High skepticism of automation and a sharp eye for drafting and design errors
• Standard industry software and workflow knowledge: SAFE, ETABS, CAD, REVIT
• M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering
