Elios is a company focused on healthcare data management, and they are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own backend work for a major federal healthcare program. The role involves hands-on C#/.NET and AWS development, focusing on EDI transaction processing and backend services integration with various partners.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain C#/.NET and AWS backend services that handle high-volume healthcare EDI transactions
- Parse, validate, and transform X12 EDI documents (837, 835, and others)
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL stored procedures, including execution plan tuning and complex transformations
- Query, parse, and manipulate XML object store data inside MSSQL
- Debug transaction-level issues across payers, clearinghouses, and trading partners
- Contribute to shared platform libraries and services used across product initiatives
- Participate in technical planning, requirements definition, and test planning with engineering, product, and stakeholders
- Deploy, monitor, and support production code, and step in when things go wrong
Requirements:
- 8+ years of C#/.NET development experience, with a track record on complex enterprise applications
- Strong proficiency in the C#/.NET ecosystem and back-end design and integration patterns
- Strong SQL skills: writing and optimizing stored procedures, troubleshooting execution plans, MSSQL performance tuning
- Database design with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- US Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Hands-on AWS experience (serverless, messaging, storage, databases)
- Familiarity with Azure
- CI/CD practices with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy
- Familiarity with IaC and DevOps practices
- Comfortable with microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS)
- Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) and JIRA
- Experience with healthcare payer/PBM systems, clearinghouses, or pharmacy operations
