Security Engineer

Blue Cross NC is a healthcare organization that focuses on maintaining the integrity of systems and data against cyber threats. They are seeking a Security Engineer to design, evaluate, and test security systems, provide technical input, and engage with IT teams to enhance security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input into the design, deployment and operation of global IT Security management software and hardware devices
• Perform security tool system administration, including applying updates and patches
• Review existing applications periodically as well as new applications prior to installation to ensure adherence to security policies and industry best practices
• Proactively engage in discussions with IT operational teams to maintain and improve security posture
• Work to resolve security issues or incidents
• Perform applicable testing and investigations related to Information Security, Identify Access Management or Threat and Vulnerability Management
• Develop, revise and maintain relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions related to IT Security and engineering with a focus on ongoing improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
• 3+ years of experience in related field
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field
• Experience in NAC solutions, SIEM, Endpoint Protection (Crowdstrike), Automation, Data Loss Prevention Tools
